Star of the North

The Star of the North is the first brew in a lineup of specialty beers called The Noble Star Collection from August Schell's Brewing Company. Star of the North is Schell's interpretation of a traditional Berliner Weisse. They use an authentic mixed culture of yeasts and bacteria from Berlin for fermentation and age it in one of their original cypress wood lagering tanks from 1936.

Food pairings:
This brew pairs well with German cuisine and buttery or sharp cheeses like Brie, Gouda, Havarti, Swiss, Blue, and Cheddar.
This beer is rather light on the palate and very dry with an interesting mix of fruity flavors reminiscent of ripe lemons and apple juice with a touch of spice.
