American Stout

The Commodore

The Commodore came out of their search for a medium-bodied American Stout. The recipe began at the R&D pilot brewery, but quickly became a favorite of their crew. Strong flavors of roast coffee and bittersweet chocolate balance with light citrusy hop aromas, highlighted by a crisp, bitter finish. One sip of this gold medal-winning stout will have you ready to take command of your own fleet.

JP’s Casper White Stout

JP’s Casper White Stout is not actually white in color, but it’s not the deep brown, almost black hue characteristic of stouts either: it is an inviting amber color. The brew is aged for two weeks with coffee beans and cocoa nibs to create the classic stout roasted character and offers authentic stout flavor enhanced by hints of white chocolate thanks to the cocoa nibs.

Rhinelander Chocolate Bunny

Chocolate Bunny is deep brown black color with a lacy tan head. The brew has aromas of Ovaltine and roasted pecans with crisp, frothy dry-yet-fruity medium body and a nice dash of tangy honeyed autumn fruits and bitter cocoa on the finish.

Before Sierra Nevada was a reality, the founders brewed beer at home and dreamed of building a brewery one day. Back then, they brewed the beers they wanted to drink- bold and full of flavor. Stouts had always been a favorite, so when they needed a big and rich beer to test out the brewing system at our fledgling brewery, stout was the obvious choice. Thirty years later, not much has changed and they're still brewing the beers they want to drink and our classic Stout is the same as it’s ever been: big, rich, bold, and black as night.

Rhinelander Chocolate Bunny

Swiss Amber Ale is a classic example of an amber ale. Caramel malts create the rich red color and complex flavors that prevail in this refreshingly drinkable amber ale. It is made in small batches with specialty 2 row malts and a combination of hops to create a perfect balance of flavors.

Fuel Café

This unique stout combines the flavor of organic roasted malts and Milwaukee’s renowned organic Fuel Café coffee. The brew pours a deep, dark color with a beautiful creamy tan head. Coffee aromas dominate the nose, with a background of roasted malt. The fine balance of mild organic hops, gentle brightness of choice coffee and the full mouthfeel from roasted malted barley make this an unforgettable brew.

Kalamazoo Stout

Kalamazoo Stout represents stouts in Bell's year-round roster, offering a blend of dark chocolate and coffee flavors with just a hint of brewer's licorice. The licorice which they use is gelatin-free, making it acceptable for vegetarians. Serving as one of the company's oldest recipes, it balances a significant hop presence against the roast malt body.

Java Stout

Java Stout uses a custom blend of coffee beans, roasted locally for us by Water Street Coffee Joint, to generate its intense flavor. Possessing an unmistakable aromatic punch, Java Stout has long been one of Bell's most popular stouts.
